A simple but delicious cake recipe:
Heat the syrup with the sugar and fat until the sugar melts, then chill until hand warm. Later stir in the spice with the candied orange peel and add the flour mixed with the baking powder.
Leave the dough to rest in the cold for one night, then roll it out to a thickness of about 5 mm and cut it into rectangles of 3 * 8, which, placed on a greased baking sheet sprinkled with flour. Brush with milk and sprinkle with hail sugar and bake in a heated oven for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
