Try this delicious cake recipe:
Put the flour in a large enough bowl with the egg, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar. Crumble the yeast over it. Melt the fat (do not get hot!) and add to the baking bowl form with the cold milk. Knead all ingredients to a smooth dough and let it rise for 30 to 40 min in a warm place.
Peel and core the apples and cut them into narrow wedges. Mix them together with the juice of one lemon, 125 gr. Sugar, cinnamon and apple juice. Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes. Let the compote cool down a little bit.
Divide the dough in half. Roll out one half on the greased baking pan about 32×39 cm and spread the compote evenly on it. Roll out the rest of the dough to tray size and place over the compote.
Make the powdered custard with the milk and about 2 tablespoons of sugar according to the instructions on the package and let it cool a little.
Use your finger to make depressions in the dough and fill it with the pudding. Sprinkle the remaining sugar and almond slivers on the cake and place butter flakes on top.
Bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees (gas mark 3) for about 25 minutes.
