Friendship Cake – Because Giving Brings Joy

A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Eve Landis: Chrueteroski from the restaurant Moospinte (Münchenbuchsee) wrote this recipe for the friends of the Propstei. It embodies the idea of sharing and giving: each friend gives 3 parts of his dough to friends (together with the recipe!). They also give another 3 parts, – so there is no end to the giving and sharing – a truly Christian recipe.

Actually – so Chrueteroski writes in addition – the basic dough should be made in the Provost’s office and everyone may get it there! Basic dough: Mix everything well and stand covered. Stir 1 x daily until the 9th day. Thereupon divide into 4 parts. Give 3 parts away! Important: do not put the dough in the refrigerator and do not use metal utensils or spoons.

With the remaining dough now prepare a cake with the following ingredients:

Mix everything well and bake at 200 degrees preheated stove, in a well-buttered cake pan (quiche form) (35 cm long) for about 50-60 min.
