A great cake recipe for any occasion:
Cook one from the ingredients for the sponge.
For 4 bases, spread 2 tbsp. batter each on greased springform pan base (diameter 28 cm).
Whip the egg whites until stiff. Spread a quarter of the whipped egg whites evenly on the pastry base. Mix sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon. sprinkle a quarter of it and a quarter of the almond kernels on each base (bake without cake ring).
Electricity: 175-200 (preheated).
Gas: 5 min. preheat 3 to 4, bake 3 -4.
Baking time: 15 to 20 min.
Loosen bottoms after a few min, cool.
Filling: prepare currants and dust with powdered sugar. Whip cream, cream stiffener according to instructions – without sugar – until stiff. Fold in currants. Assemble bases with filling.
