For the apple strudel cake, start by lining a greased cake pan or one lined with baking paper with strudel dough, the edges should protrude quietly! Drizzle melted butter between the pastry sheets. Preheat the oven to 150 °C.
Peel and roughly grate about 15-20 small, tart apples. Sprinkle them with the juice of one lemon. Fold in 500 g curd cheese and season with 50 g sugar and some cinnamon and vanilla pudding powder.
Now fill the cake with the seasoned mixture, folding the overhanging edges into the center and draping them nicely.
Bake the apple strudel cake for about 35 minutes until golden brown and then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
If you like, you can also add nuts/raisins or the pulp of a vanilla bean to the filling for flavor.
