For the Waldviertler potato casserole, press the cooked potatoes hot, mix the diced cooked ham with the other ingredients and pour into a buttered casserole pan.(If the whole thing is too firm, add a little more cream). Add butter flakes on top of the casserole and bake at 180 degrees until the edges are crispy ( about 1 hour). Remains a little soft in the middle.

When serving, cut the Waldviertel potato casserole into square pieces.

Preparation Tip:

Waldviertel potato casserole is served with Chinese cabbage, green salad, cucumber salad or red beet salad.
