Carefully remove the peel from the oranges, divide them into segments and fillet them. Rinse the carambolas and cut them into slices just under 1 cm wide. Mix both fruits and put them in a suitable bowl. Whip the cream with the sugar until semi-stiff, add to the fruit form and gently fold in. Grate nutmeg over the top. Garnish with coconut shavings and bring to the table.
Mix with the sugar and pour over the fruit. Of course, you can also combine other fruits and cook them in the same way as described above. For example, pineapple and bananas, mangoes and papayas or melons and guavas go well together.
