For the quick egg toast, cut out the center of the white bread slices. Heat the butter in a frying pan, put the slices in and wait until the underside is nicely browned.

Place an egg in the center of each slice and wait for the egg to set. Then place a thin slice of butter on top of the slices and flip with a spatula. When the second side is also brown, remove the slices, arrange on a plate, season with salt and pepper and garnish the quick egg toast with chives.
