Mix well the sugar, tomato ketchup, vinegar and chicken soup and bring to a boil. After about 2 minutes, stir in the maizena (cornstarch) mixed with water and bring to a boil repeatedly.

This sauce is served as a side dish with spring rolls and fried wan-tans.
