For the pancake, peel and cut apples into eighths, remove the core. Place the apple pieces in the squeezed lemon juice and turn well in it. Cut bread rolls into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
Mix whipped cream with sugar and eggs. In a greased baking dish, alternate layers of rolls and apples. Sprinkle in the raisins.
Pour the egg mixture on top and cover (either with a lid or aluminum foil) and bake in a 200 degree oven for about 40 minutes.
Remove the lid and let brown for another 10 minutes. Using a round large cookie cutter, cut out 4 portions and serve each with vanilla ice cream.
Preparation Tip:
Semmelschmarren can be served with any ice cream to taste. If you don't like raisins, leave them out. Refine it still with a little cinnamon or cocoa.
