A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Whisk the milk with the water and heat it in a saucepan. Remove half of the liquid and let the crumbled yeast with the sugar dissolve in it. Sift the flour into a large enough bowl. Make an indentation in the center. Pour the dampfl into it and let it rise for about 15 minutes in a warm place with the lid closed. Add the light butter, the remaining liquid, a little liquid sweetener and a little salt. Knead until the dough comes away from the bowl. Let the dough rise in a warm place with the lid closed until it reaches about twice its volume. Knead repeatedly on a floured surface. Set aside 50g of the dough and divide the rest into three equal pieces. Roll them out to about 70cm long strands and braid them into a plait. Place the braid on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and connect them to form a wreath. Roll out the rest of the dough thinly, shape it into a loop and press it onto the joint. Let the wreath rise repeatedly for 10 minutes with the lid closed. Bake at 200 °C for about half an hour. 10 min before the end of the baking time, brush the wreath with glaze. For this, boil the sunflower seeds with honey, whipping cream and butter in a saucepan until light brown. Decorate the cooled wreath with colored eggs.
